Provide the following when calling in your child's absence:

  • Student Name
  • Date of Absence
  • Reason

If your child is taken to the doctor, ask for a note to verify absence.

Due to a large volume of traffic on Vega St., we ask that parents NOT park, drop off or pick up students on Vega ST. For drop off & pick up please enter the parking lot in front of the gym.

Thank you for your understanding of this safety issue for our students.

Welcome to Aromas School

I hope everyone had a lovely Presidents’ Week break and have come back renewed and invigorated to finish off the second trimester with a bang! It is still winter, and we have been experiencing quite a cold spell. Please make sure your children come to school dressed warmly and in layers so they do not catch a cold or get sick. Also, be sure to check out the lost and found for any missing jackets, sweaters, hats, and lunch boxes. There are a lot of good winter items that have not been claimed, and we will be donating remaining items to a local charity on Friday, March 2nd.

What's Happening at Aromas?

There is a Teacher Work Day on Monday, March 5th. This means no school for our students.

Our Science Fair will be held next Thursday, March 8th, in the gym from 5:30-7:00. We will also be having our Open House that evening. Classrooms will be open from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Be sure to come out and see all the wonderful things our students have been doing this year!

The end of our second academic trimester is rapidly approaching…March 13th! Spring conferences will be held during the last week of March, from the 27th through the 29th. Dismissal for all three days will be at 1:15 p.m.

Our 2nd Trimester Awards Assemblies will be held on Thursday, March 29th in the gym. The schedule is as follows:

Grades 3-5 @ 9:00 a.m.

Grades K-2 @ 10:00 a.m.

Grades 6-8 @ 11:00 a.m.

Spring break will begin on Friday, March 30th and will continue through the following week (Friday, April 6th). School will resume Monday, April 9th

Home & School Club Mixed Bag Fundraiser

The Aromas Home & School Club’s Mixed Bag fundraiser is here! The fundraiser will run from February 26 through Monday,

March 12th. This is a good time to stock up on Mother’s Day and summer items. As with all school fundraisers, the proceeds go to help support important programs, classroom supplies and field trips, and our wonderful teachers. Please help to make this last fundraiser of the year a success!

Parking Lot Issues

This is a reminder of our parking lot protocols for drop-off in the morning and pick-up in the afternoon to help traffic run smoothly and keep our students safe. There are two lines ONLY for drop-off in the morning, both of which are next to the gym. Please refrain from dropping off your child in the upper lane of the parking lot. Please remember that the stop sign is for BOTH lanes of drop-off traffic, not just the lane closest to the gym. There is only ONE lane to traffic for pick-up in the afternoon, next to the concrete barrier. Please refrain from picking up your child from the upper lane of the parking lot. It is difficult to monitor student safety issues in that area, and waiting cars are impeding the exit of drivers who have parked and walked their children safely back to their cars. Finally, please use the crosswalk to get from the parking lot to the entrance to the campus. It is unsafe for you and your children to cross through the parking lot during a drop-off or pick-up time period. It is important to model the safe behavior for our students so they develop good safety habits!
